Entry of outsiders prohibited and strict instructions for the staff
Hoshiarpur/Daljeet Ajnoha/April 17 : Following the directions of State Transport Commissioner Punjab and Deputy Commissioner Hoshiarpur, Regional Transport Officer Ravinder Singh Gill today conducted a surprise inspection of the Automated Driving Test Track, Tanda Road Hoshiarpur.
During the inspection, strict instructions were given to the security staff that only applicants for driving license should be allowed inside the track. Entry of any outsider into the track will be prohibited. Details of every person coming to the track will be mandatorily recorded in the register.
He informed that all the staff members were directed to keep their mobile phones switched off from 9 am to 5 pm, so that there is no hindrance in the work. He informed that 8 IP-based HD cameras have been installed on the driving test track, whose direct access has also been provided to the head office. The functioning of the staff and the driving test will be monitored through these cameras.
The Regional Transport Officer appealed to the general public to apply for driving license related services on the ‘Sarathi’ portal by paying the fee themselves and contact the office directly. Do not apply through any agent or outsider and do not pay more money.
Apart from this, the fitness of school buses was checked by the Motor Vehicle Inspector. He directed that fitness certificates should be issued to school buses as per the ‘Safe School Vehicle Scheme’.
