Hoshiarpur/Daljeet Ajnoha/April 17 : In a serene and spiritually uplifting gathering, a Sukhmani Sahib Path was organized in Nurpur, near the Pathankot Bypass, to mark the birth anniversary of Dr. Harbaksh Singh IAS (1981 batch). The event was organized and led by his sons, Vikkramaditya Singh and Singeshwar Singh, as a tribute to their father’s towering legacy of public service, integrity, and compassion.
Vikkramaditya Singh, a distinguished personality known for his impactful contributions in social service, business, and humanitarian work, played a central role in coordinating this annual remembrance. He shared that the gathering was not only a tribute to his father but also a reaffirmation of the family’s continued mission to serve society through selfless initiatives and ethical leadership.
Dr. Harbaksh Singh, a gold medalist from Amritsar Medical College and a topper in the Indian Administrative Services, exemplified commitment, honesty, and empathy throughout his distinguished career. Even after his passing in 2013, his ideals continue to inspire future generations.
The Singh family — including Sardar Gulzar Singh, Dr. Harbaksh Singh’s father and a respected retired Deputy Collector of Jalandhar, and Bibi Parkash Kaur, his noble mother — has long been recognized for its values of service, strength, and integrity. These virtues are now being carried forward by Vikkramaditya Singh and Singeshwar Singh, who have not only preserved their father’s legacy but are actively contributing to society in impactful ways.
This spiritual ceremony drew a diverse and eminent gathering of people from all walks of life — including noted social activists, political figures, religious leaders, and successful entrepreneurs — who came together to honor the legacy of a man whose life was a beacon of light for countless others.
