Dhamai beat Mahilpur 3-0 in final; MLA Dr. Ishank Kumar Chabewal honors winners
Hoshiarpur / Daljeet Ajnoha /May 24 : The final of the 5th Rural Open Seven-a-Side Football Tournament, organized by Sant Baba Hari Singh Sporting Club Kaharpur, concluded with a convincing 3-0 victory for the Dhamai team over Mahilpur on Sunday. The match took place under the patronage of club chairman Sant Sadhu Singh Nirmal (Kutia, Kaharpur) and the leadership of President Harmanjot Singh Khabbra.
MLA Dr. Ishank Kumar Chabewal attended the event as chief guest, blessed the players and presented cash prizes and trophies to the winning team. The function was presided over by Harnandan Singh Khabra, with district council member Charanjit Singh (Bunty)Gopi pehalwan ,Pirthipal singh Hundal , Sarpanch Harnek Singh,Bandana singh halluwal,Talwinder singh heer and other local dignitaries sharing the stage.
Prominent attendees included Manjinder Singh Panch, Sarabjit Singh Panch, athlete Amandeep Singh Bains, S.D.O. Ravinder Singh, Satprakash Singh (Canadian), former sarpanch Sukhvinder Kaur, former Sarpanch Gurdial Singh khabra and Gurnam Singh Bains. Hundreds of villagers and sports enthusiasts also gathered to witness the final.
