Hoshiarpur/Mar 5/Daljeet Ajnoha : Mahiapur police station teams arrested three persons and seized 60 narcotic pills, 18 grams of heroin, ₹97,100 in drug money, and 22 grams of intoxicant substance in separate operations near Raniyala and surrounding areas.Station House Officer (SHO) Satnam Singh’s team, while patrolling from Saila Khurd towards Raniala via Tuto Mazara, intercepted Mohd Farooq Ahmad alias Botu (son of Liaqat Ali, resident of Saroh, Samba district, Jammu & Kashmir; currently of Hakumatpur) near Adda Raniala village on suspicion. A search yielded 60 loose narcotic pills from his possession.In another action, SHO Gulshan Mohammad’s team stopped Tarsem Singh alias Gurdawar (son of Harbajan Singh, resident of Dhada Khurd) in the village after noticing suspicious behaviour. They recovered 18 grams of heroin and ₹97,100 in drug money from him, leading to a case registration.Meanwhile, SI Chatwinder Singh’s team, on duty at Village Khera, nabbed Ravinder Singh alias Iddi (son of Chuhad Singh, resident of Nangal Kalan) who tried to flee upon spotting them. A search uncovered 22 grams of intoxicant substance.
