Hoshiarpur/ Nov.13 /Daljeet Ajnoha : The 13th District Yoga Championship concluded with great enthusiasm and participation. Former Cabinet Minister, District Yoga Association President, Punjab Yoga Association Chairman, and Senior Vice President of the National Yoga Federation, Mr. Tikshan Sood, honoured the winners by presenting them with medals at a felicitation ceremony held in Hoshiarpur.Distinguished guests present on the occasion included Dr. Keshav Sood, Dr. Bharat Bhushan Sood, social worker Sushil Chauhan, Mr. Sanjeev Gupta, Mrs. Neerja Sood, Mrs. Tajinder Kaur, Mrs. Monika Sood, Mrs. Shruti Sood, Mrs. Aarti Sood, Mrs. Archana Jain, Mrs. Anita, Mr. Anil Kumar Sood, Mr. Akshay, Mr. Ashish Sood, S. Joginder Singh, Yoga Judges Mr. Ram Chander, Mr. Surinder, Mrs. Poonam Sandhu, Mr. Jatin, and Mr. Munish Kumar.The two-day event witnessed active participation from young yoga enthusiasts across various age categories.In the girls’ events, winners included Simrat Saini (8–10 years), Purnima Sharma (10–12 years), Himani (12–14 years), Rajpreet Kaur (14–16 years), and Ekam Kaur (16–18 years).Among boys, winners included Arush Singh (8–10 years), Ekampreet Singh (10–12 years), Dinkar Sharma (12–14 years), and Vishal Kumar (16–18 years).In the overall team results, SD City Public School, Adamwal lifted the championship trophy. Kids Public School, B.R. Sainik School, and Yog Seva Ashram secured second place, while Mount Carmel School stood third.Yoga students also presented a vibrant cultural program during the closing ceremony.Addressing participants, Mr. Tikshan Sood said that yoga has become essential for the all-round development of individuals and now holds a vital place in daily life. He appreciated the District Yoga Association for encouraging children to cultivate physical, mental, and spiritual strength through yoga.
