Hoshiarpur/Daljeet Ajnoha/Sept.25 : Former Member of Parliament Avinash Rai Khanna, while addressing a gathering on the birth anniversary of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya, recalled the life and ideals of the veteran leader. He said Pandit Upadhyaya was born on September 25, 1916, in Nagla Chandrabhan, a village in Mathura district, and entered politics through the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh.Khanna highlighted that the Bharatiya Jana Sangh was formed under the leadership of Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee, with Pandit Upadhyaya taking on the role of general secretary. He described Pandit Upadhyaya as a staunch supporter of clean politics and ethical leadership. Quoting Dr. Mukherjee, Khanna said, “If I had two leaders like Deendayal, I could change the map of Indian politics.”He stressed that the unity and progress of the nation was the core of Pandit Upadhyaya’s vision, and today every BJP leader and worker is striving to uphold those values by contributing to clean politics and national development. Khanna further remarked that the Modi government continues to work consistently on the principles of Antyodaya (upliftment of the last person) and Integral Humanism, central to Pandit Upadhyaya’s ideology.
