Yuva Khel Bhalai Board Vows

Hoshiarpur/Daljeet Ajnoha /August 17 : Under the leadership of Gagandeep Kaur and Sukhdeep Singh Bajwa, the Yuva Khel Bhalaai Board organized the 80th Independence Day celebrations at Fighter Sports Zone on Kartarpur Road, Kapurthala, in an atmosphere of enthusiasm and patriotism. The event marked a firm pledge by the youth sports welfare group to keep the younger generation away from drugs and to encourage participation in sports.
The function was attended by retired IPS and IG-level Arjuna Awardee Mr. Surinder Singh Sodhi as the chief guest, alongside Rajiv Walia, president of the Yuva Khel Bhalaai Board. Mr. Sodhi hoisted the national flag, and the flag was saluted by all members as the national anthem and patriotic songs were sung. After the flag hoisting, children presented colourful cultural performances.
Addressing the gathering, Mr. Sodhi conveyed his best wishes on Independence Day and paid tribute to the martyrs, saying that the country’s freedom was won through their sacrifices. He honored international-level athletes Harpreet Kaur, Aakashdeep Singh and Gurinder Bhogal with mementos and encouraged them to progress further in their sporting careers.
Rajiv Walia and the members of the Yuva Khel Bhalaai Board presented a token of appreciation to Mr. Sodhi and thanked him for his presence. Walia extended heartfelt Independence Day greetings and urged everyone to protect the nation and remain honest in service to the country. He announced the Board’s resolution to keep today’s youth away from drugs and to inspire them to take part in sports, and said a rally against drug abuse would be organized shortly.
