Reaffirmed his commitment towards servicing people of Chabbewal
Hoshiarpur/Daljeet Ajnoha/August 19 : “Our villages should have the basic facilities and public amenities that people need in their daily lives. Development must reach every village and should be based on the genuine requirements of its residents,” said Chabbewal MLA Dr. Ishank Kumar while addressing a meeting held at the BDPO Office, Hoshiarpur. The meeting was attended by DDPO Sandeep Singh, BDPO Mahilpur Kanwaljit Singh, BDPO Hoshiarpur-2 Palwinder Singh too.
The MLA held a detailed meeting with BDPO officials, village sarpanches, panches and other representatives from villages of the Chabbewal Assembly Constituency regarding the utilisation of a ₹5 crore development grant being issued for various village-level works.
Dr. Ishank Kumar said that the grant would be utilised for development works according to the specific needs and priorities of different villages. The proposed works include streets, drains and sewerage, stadiums, dharamshalas, community halls, parks, swings, open gyms, gym equipment, ponds, culverts, drinking water tubewells and other essential public infrastructure.
During the meeting, various development works were discussed, and emphasis was laid on ensuring that the available funds are utilised effectively for projects that directly benefit the people. Dr. Ishank Kumar said that strengthening village infrastructure is an important priority and that facilities such as parks, community halls, libraries, open gyms and sports infrastructure can play an important role in improving the quality of life in rural areas. He also stressed the need for proper planning and coordination with the concerned departments for timely execution of the works.
He said that the ₹5 crore grant will provide further impetus to development in the villages of Chabbewal constituency, with the focus remaining on improving basic civic amenities and creating better facilities for residents. He also reaffirmed his promise to serve his constituency with dedication and rigor.
