Bahadurpur interlock lanes project inaugurated

Hoshiarpur/ Daljeet Ajnoha/August 02 :
— MLA Bramshankar Jimpa on Saturday inaugurated the construction work of interlock lanes in the Thathiyara locality of Bahadurpur. The project, costing Rs 23.38 lakh, will see all lanes in the neighbourhood paved with interlocking tiles.
Jimpa said the Punjab government is continuously working to expand basic amenities equally in towns and villages. “This development work in Bahadurpur will provide better facilities to residents,” he added.
He noted that interlock-paved lanes are more durable and will also enhance the area’s appearance while easing movement for the public. He instructed the concerned officials to complete the work within the stipulated time and meet quality standards so residents can benefit at the earliest.
The MLA also highlighted recent achievements in Hoshiarpur, saying over 45 new tubewells have been installed and development works worth more than Rs 100 crore have been completed. He said similar efforts will continue to ensure the overall development of the constituency.
Local residents thanked Jimpa for initiating the development works. Councillor Parveen Saini said the project will fulfil a long-standing demand of Thathiyara residents and provide them with improved basic amenities.
Prominent attendees at the event included Pradeep Saini, Krishna Saini, Vijay and Kuldeep Kaur, along with other dignitaries and local residents.
