55 Women Embark on a New Journey of Public Service as Anganwadi Workers

Marking the beginning of a new chapter in women empowerment, appointment letters were distributed by MLA Dr. Ishank Kumar to 55 newly selected Anganwadi Workers of the Chabbewal constituency during a function held at the Community Centre, Chabbewal. MLA congratulated all the appointees and extended his best wishes for their future responsibilities.
Addressing the gathering, Dr. Ishank Kumar said that Anganwadi Workers play a vital role in strengthening the foundation of society by ensuring the health, nutrition and overall development of mothers and children. He said that the Punjab Government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, is committed to strengthening the Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) and ensuring that every eligible beneficiary receives quality services at the grassroots level.
Congratulating the newly appointed workers, the MLA said, “It is the beginning of a meaningful journey of public service. Your dedication, compassion and commitment will play an important role in shaping a healthier and brighter future for our children and supporting mothers across our villages.”
Dr. Ishank Kumar urged the newly appointed Anganwadi Workers to discharge their duties with sincerity and dedication while working closely with the community. He expressed confidence that they would contribute significantly towards improving child nutrition, early childhood education and maternal healthcare in their respective areas.
The newly appointed Anganwadi Workers expressed their gratitude to the Punjab Government and the MLA for the opportunity to serve society. They assured that they would perform their responsibilities with honesty and dedication for the welfare of mothers and children. The programme was attended by District Program officer Shri Gagandeep singh, CDPO Manpreet Singh, supervisor Harjinder Kaur, Arshdeep Kaur, Parminder Kaur and the newly appointed Anganwadi Workers.
