Hoshiarpur /Daljeet Ajnoha/August 16–Lamrin Tech Skills University, Punjab, marked the 80th Independence Day of India with immense pride, fervor, and patriotism. The celebration took place on campus with vibrant cultural performances and enthusiastic participation from students, faculty, and staff.
The event commenced with the ceremonial hoisting of the national flag by Dr A S Chawla Vice Chancellor, Lamrin Tech Skills University Punjab. In his address, he extended heartfelt congratulations to the entire university community and emphasized the importance of national unity and dedication toward the country’s development. The university’s security team presented a ceremonial salute, followed by the soulful rendition of the national anthem by a student group.
The celebration featured a range of cultural performances including patriotic songs, poems, speeches, and traditional dances like Bhangra and Giddha, presented by students of Rayat School and the university. The vibrant and diverse performances reflected the rich cultural heritage of India and instilled a deep sense of pride among attendees.
Prof. B.S. Satyal, Pro Vice Chancellor , also addressed the gathering and urged everyone to remember the supreme sacrifices made by our freedom fighters. He reminded the youth of their responsibility to uphold the values of freedom, democracy, and national pride.
The event was jointly organized by the Rayat Institute of Pharmacy, Lamrin School of Pharmacetical Sciences, NSS unit under the Viksit Bharat Yuva Connect Programme, an initiative of the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports. The celebration was themed “Har Ghar Tiranga”
