ADC Nikas Kumar Inaugurates New

Hoshiarpur / Daljeet Ajnoha/June 4 : As part of a major initiative to provide better sports facilities for athletes, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Development) Nikas Kumar today inaugurated two newly constructed badminton courts at the local indoor stadium. The courts were developed in collaboration with the Sonalika Group.
Speaking on the occasion, he praised the valuable role of private organizations in promoting sports and providing modern amenities to players. ADC Nikas Kumar said the district administration remains committed to encouraging sports. Under this effort, International Tractors Limited (Sonalika) has provided these facilities for badminton players as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities, offering local athletes opportunities for higher-level practice.
He thanked the Sonalika management and said such partnerships will play an important role in strengthening the sporting culture in the district. He appealed to players to make full use of the available facilities, hone their skills, and bring glory to the district and the state.
Representing the Sonalika Group, Rajneesh Sandal and Vishal Gupta attended the event. The ceremony was also attended by Amandeep Singh, member of the Sports Welfare Board Punjab, and District Sports Officer Gurpreet Singh.
