Top performers in water conservation essay competition honored with awards and certificates
Hoshiarpur / Daljit Ajnoha/July 11 : Former Rajya Sabha MP and Chairman of Shri Prakash Rai Khanna & Smt. Kaushalya Devi Khanna Memorial Trust, Garhshankar, Avinash Rai Khanna, recently organized an essay writing competition on the topic of water conservation at BSF Kharkan Camp. The aim was to promote awareness among BSF personnel regarding the importance of conserving nature’s precious gift — water.
During the event, Khanna emphasized that actions taken by the soldiers of the nation can bring about revolutionary change, as they serve as role models for the general public. He stated, “If every soldier treats water conservation as a social responsibility along with their duty to the nation, we can protect the earth from the looming crisis of water scarcity.”
Khanna appreciated the efforts of all participants and said that although many excellent essays were submitted, the trust selected the top 8 male and female jawans for special recognition.
Among the winners:
Manmadha Rao secured the first position
Bishnu Kumar won the second position
Ajay Kumar stood third
All three were awarded with trophies and certificates of appreciation.
Additionally, Harsh Kumar Singh, Jada Narsarao, Dalip Singh Parmar, Sathya M., and Aarti received consolation prizes and certificates for their commendable efforts.
Khanna concluded by saying that such initiatives are essential to spreading awareness about environmental issues among security forces, who can then influence the wider community. The event was attended by BSF officers, male and female personnel, and other dignitaries from the camp.
