Deputy Commissioner Starts Office Work

In view of the ongoing heatwave, the Punjab government has revised office timings. Acting on those directives, Deputy Commissioner Ashika Jain and senior district administration officials began their official duties early on Monday, arriving at the office at 7:25 AM and 7:30 AM respectively.
Deputy Commissioner Ashika Jain urged all district officers and employees to strictly observe the revised timings and report to their respective offices promptly every day to ensure uninterrupted delivery of civic services. She emphasized that adherence to the new schedule will prevent delays and inconvenience to the public.
DC Jain directed Additional Deputy Commissioner Nidhi Kumad Bambah to ensure that administrative offices across the district complex and other government offices maintain punctuality at all times, keeping administrative and public interests in view.
Arriving at her office at 7:25 AM on Monday, DC Jain inspected the facilitation centre and other offices, checking on the presence of officers and staff. She assured that citizens would not face any difficulty in accessing services and that essential services would continue to be available at the scheduled hours.
The DC reiterated that all office-bearers have already been instructed to comply with the Punjab government’s revised timing orders. She added that staff would be present at their seats from 7:30 AM onwards as per the new schedule.
Notably, the revised office hours will be from 7:30 AM to 1:30 PM with effect from Monday.
