 The campaign against drugs started by the Punjab government under the leadership of Chief Minister Punjab Bhagwant Singh Mann, a big success has been achieved by Hoshiarpur Police during the month of June under the directions of DGP Gaurav Yadav and Deputy Inspector General of Police Jalandhar Range Harmanbir Singh Gill. Giving this information, SSP Hoshiarpur Surender Lamba said that under this campaign, a total of 83 cases were registered under the NDPS Act in different police stations of Hoshiarpur district during June 2024 and 108 culprits were arrested and 42 other culprits have been named under Section 29 of the NDPS Act in 43 cases registered under the NDPS Act. He said that 531 grams of heroin, 3 kg 390 grams of opium, 900 grams of hashish, 2 kg 800 grams of ganja, 2 kg 860 grams of narcotic powder, 43 injections and 4804 tablets and capsules have been recovered from the culprits. He said that the campaign against drugs by the district police will continue in this manner.
