Hoshiarpur/Daljeet Ajnoha/Jan.3 : As per the instructions of the Honorable Gurdwara Election Commission, the preliminary publication of the voter list of Group 5 Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (Board) constituencies 111-Mukerian, 112-Dasuya, 113-Shamchaurasi, 114-Hoshiarpur and 115-Garhshankar falling in District Hoshiarpur has been done in the Deputy Commissioner’s Office, the offices of the concerned Revising Authorities/Returning Officers, Group Tehsil Offices, Patwari Offices of Patwar Circle and Group Notified Sikh Gurudwaras on 03.01.2025. The voter lists are available for viewing at these places from 3rd January.
Giving information, Deputy Commissioner Komal Mittal said that claims/objections on the draft voter list will be received by the revising authorities of group circles 111-Mukerian (SDM Mukerian), 112-Dasuhya (SDM Dasuya), 113-Shamchaurasi (Municipal Corporation Commissioner, Hoshiarpur), 114-Hoshiarpur (SDM Hoshiarpur) and 115-Garhshankar (SDM Garhshankar) from 3 January 2025 to 24 January 2025 and the received claims/objections will be settled by 05 February 2025. She said that drafts/supplements of the approved claims/objections will be prepared and printed by 24 February 2025 and the final publication of the voter list will be done on 25 February 2025.
The Deputy Commissioner said that if there are any clerical or printing related errors in the draft voter list, then it should be brought to the notice of the concerned revising authorities, so that necessary corrections can be made before the final publication. She said that the applicants/objectors regarding the draft voter list can send their claims/objections in writing to their revising authorities in person, in writing, through post or by any agent who is approved in writing, by the prescribed date. Only a person whose age is 21 years or above and whose name is already registered in the voter list of that constituency can submit an objection.
The Deputy Commissioner has appealed to all the eligible voters of the district that those who have not yet got their votes made, they must get their votes made by filling the form by that date 24.1.2025.
