Healthy Girls Form Foundation of Strong Nation : Sanjeev Arora
Hoshiarpur/Daljeet Ajnoha/May 7 : Bharat Vikas Parishad, consistently active in social service and public welfare, has once again fulfilled its responsibility. Under the leadership of its president and prominent social worker Sanjeev Arora, the organization handed over 4,000 consent forms to the health department, marking a significant initiative. These forms will enable HPV (Human Papillomavirus) vaccinations for 14-year-old girls, as part of a key state government health scheme.
On this occasion, Dr. Mandeep Kamal, Civil Surgeon; Dr. Seema Garg, District Immunization Officer; Dr. Ranjit Singh, District Family Welfare Officer; Dr. Jitendra Bhatia, District Health Officer; Mohammad Asif, District Programme Manager; Bharat Vikas Parishad’s senior vice-president Vijay Arora; and Ashwani Kumar Datta were specially present.
Civil Surgeon Dr. Mandeep Kamal thanked Bharat Vikas Parishad and emphasized that vaccinating girls aged 14-15 is crucial to prevent cervical cancer in the future. She appealed to city and village residents to ensure their daughters receive this protective vaccination and to raise awareness among neighbors, so diseases can be averted in time.
District Immunization Officer Dr. Seema Garg informed that these consent forms will soon be distributed door-to-door by field staff across various areas. This will provide detailed information on the importance of the HPV vaccine, obtain parental consent, and highlighted that the drive is a major step toward girls’ health security, requiring cooperation from every section of society.
Parishad president Sanjeev Arora and Vijay Arora stated that Bharat Vikas Parishad is committed to partnering shoulder-to-shoulder with the health department to make this scheme a success. They clarified that beyond providing consent forms, the organization will run awareness campaigns to educate parents on the vaccine’s importance, ensuring more girls benefit. “If our children are healthy, our society and nation will be strong. Healthy girls are the foundation of a powerful nation,” they said.
Mr. Arora urged parents to give consent without hesitation and join this public welfare initiative. He added that such collaborations between social organizations and government departments bring positive change to society. Bharat Vikas Parishad’s effort is an inspiring example, giving a new direction to the girls’ health protection campaign.
