Grand Preparations Complete for Historic

Hoshiarpur/ Nov. 20/Daljeet Ajnoha : District administration officials under the leadership of Deputy Commissioner Aashika Jain have finalized all arrangements for welcoming the Nagar Kirtan marking the 350th martyrdom anniversary of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji. At a meeting held at the Market Committee Office, Dasuya, attended by MLAs Jasvir Singh Raja Gill, Karamveer Singh Ghumman, and Halqa Incharge Prof. G.S. Multani, thorough reviews of logistical and security measures were conducted.Ms. Jain assured that every detail—from security, traffic management, and sanitation to lighting and essential amenities—has been meticulously inspected across the Nagar Kirtan route. Departments have received clear instructions regarding community kitchens, drinking water, medical facilities, and coordinated safety protocols to facilitate devotees participating in the procession.The Nagar Kirtan started its journey from Srinagar and will enter the Hoshiarpur district at Mukerian on November 21, where a Guard of Honour will be presented. The procession will proceed through Dasuya and Garhdiwala, halting for the night at Gurdwara Sri Rampur Khera. On November 22, after another Guard of Honour, it will travel through Bhoonga, Hariana, Hoshiarpur, Chabbewal, Mahilpur, and Garhshankar, before the grand culmination at Sri Anandpur Sahib.All district residents have been urged to participate in large numbers and uphold the traditions and teachings of the Sikh Gurus during these commemorative events.MLAs Gill and Ghumman called for inter-departmental coordination to ensure the religious procession’s success. The meeting witnessed the attendance of prominent officers, including Additional Deputy Commissioners Nikas Kumar and Amarbir Kaur, Assistant Commissioner Oaishi Mandal, SDMs Kanwaljit Singh, Ankur Mahendru, Parampreet Singh, SP Major Singh, and DDPO Sandeep Singh among others.
