Hoshiarpur to host “An Evening

Hoshiarpur,/Aug 11/Daljeet Ajnoha : Bram Shankar jimpa, MLA, announced that a grand religious congregation titled “An Evening in Praise of Lord Shiva” will be held at Dussehra Ground in Hoshiarpur — the city often referred to as “Mini Kashi” — on August 12.
Zimpa invited residents of the area to attend the devotional event, saying it will feature a special performance by internationally acclaimed Padma Shri awardee and renowned singer Kailash Kher, who will make his debut appearance on Hoshiarpur’s sacred soil. Known worldwide for his renditions of Shiva bhajans, Kailash Kher will present a devotional set steeped in reverence for Lord Shiva.
To add further significance to the historic gathering, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, AAP national convenor Arvind Kejriwal and AAP in-charge for Punjab Manish Sisodia are expected to attend, jimpa said.
The programme will begin at 6:30 pm on Wednesday. The organising committee has also made arrangements for a large and elaborate langar for all devotees attending the event. The MLA appealed to all religious and social organisations in the city and the general public to join the congregation with their families and partake in the devotional evening.
