Hoshiarpur/Daljeet Ajnoha/Oct.4 : A three-day seminar to enhance interaction between the youth and the elders was organized by My Bharat Hoshiarpur in collaboration with Bahu Rang Kala Manch Hoshiarpur at the Old Age Home, Ram Colony Camp, Hoshiarpur. On the first day, the Superintendent of the Old Age Home, Prince Sharma, introduced all the senior citizen residents to the representatives of Bahu Rang Kala Manch Hoshiarpur. Following this, in the second phase of the seminar, on the day of Dussehra, Satish Sili Uppal entertained the seniors with devotional music and conducted a prayer. On this occasion, Bahu Rang Kala Manch and their associates presented gifts to all 20 elderly residents of the Old Age Home.
Subsequently, in the second phase of the program, senior citizen Jagan Nath and his companions from the Ram Colony Camp Ashram shared their thoughts and life’s truths with the youth. The event also featured Bhajan singing, an Eye Check-up Camp, and an interaction session with the students, and trees were planted on the campus.
Participating in the three-day workshop, students Roni, Ashwani, Charu, and Parneet shared their experiences. At the closing of this Youth and Elderly Interaction Program, Deputy Director Education Ashwani Dutta highlighted the importance of the senior citizen, children, and youth living together in society and the significance of joint families.
On this occasion, Retired Deputy Director Education Ashwani Dutta, Old Age Home Superintendent Prince Sharm a, Ramesh Kumar, Satish Sili Uppal, and students Rohni, Ashwani, Charu, and Parneet were honored. Chunni Lal and Narinder Kaur of the Ashram made a special contribution to the success of this program.
