Hoshiarpur / Daljeet Ajnoha/June 19 : Panjab University, Chandigarh, has granted approval to Sri Guru Gobind Singh Khalsa College, Mahilpur, to start a three-year B.Sc. Medical Lab Technology course from the current academic session. Sharing the information, College Principal Dr. Parvinder Singh said that a Panjab University inspection team had thoroughly reviewed the college’s science block, academic infrastructure, faculty, laboratories, and administrative arrangements before granting permission to begin this new course, which is a matter of pride for the institution.
Dr. Singh informed that students who have passed the 12th grade in the science stream (either medical or non-medical) are eligible for admission to this course. After completing the course, students will have job opportunities in both government and private medical institutions as medical lab technicians, clinical laboratory scientists, diagnostic lab operators, blood bank technicians, microbiology technicians, pathology technicians, and clinical laboratory professionals. Furthermore, this course will open multiple employment avenues for students in medical research institutes and pharmaceutical companies.
He appealed to students who have passed 12th with science subjects to contact the college’s admission and counseling cell as soon as possible to secure a seat in this course, which has limited intake capacity. On this occasion, the President of the Sikh Educational Council Sant Sadhu Singh Kaharpur, Patron Dr. Jang Bahadur Singh Rai, Manager Inderjit Singh Bharta, and General Secretary Prof. Apinder Singh thanked the authorities of Panjab University, Chandigarh, for granting permission to initiate this new program at the college.
