Hoshiarpur /Daljeet Ajnoha/August 7 : Lamrin Tech Skills University, Punjab, has launched new nursing programmes viz B.Sc Nursing,GNM etc at its newly established University College of Nursing.
Dr. Puneet Girdhar Registrar, Punjab Nurses Registration Council( PNRC) attended the inauguration ceremony as the chief guest. The event began with the ceremonial lighting of the sacred lamp. Earlier, Dr. Girdhar was welcomed by Dr. A. S. Chawla and other senior university officials.
In his presidential address, Dr. Girdhar said that nursing is a globally recognized profession and that the nursing curriculum is standardized across many countries, creating opportunities for graduates to pursue careers internationally.
Dr. A. S. Chawla, Vice Chancellor, said the nursing programmes have been duly approved by the Indian Nursing Council and the Punjab Nurses Registration Council. He added that the university aims to integrate skill development with nursing education to enhance students’ employability and ensure they secure rewarding careers after completing their courses.
Dr. B. S. Satyal Pro Vice Chancellor said the programme is unique as it offers students the opportunity to build a successful career while serving society through the nursing profession.
Dr. Rajinder Kaur Principal Nursing college said the college has collaborated with reputed hospitals and laboratories to provide students with practical training using advanced equipment and modern facilities. She added that the institute also has an experienced faculty to deliver quality nursing education. Sh Vimal Manhotra CEO, Dr N S Gill, Dr Ashutosh Sharma, Dr HPS Dhami, Dr Amit Sharma, and other senior functionaries of university were present on the occasion.
