Hoshiarpur/Daljeet Ajnoha /Feb.21 : The first international conference on additive manufacturing and emerging materials was successfully organized at the Mechanical Department of Rayat Bahra Institute of Engineering and Technology, Hoshiarpur. The event commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp, symbolizing the significance of knowledge and innovation.
Dr. Sushil Mittal, Vice Chancellor of I.K. Gujral Punjab Technical University, graced the occasion as the chief guest. In his address, he highlighted the growing role of artificial intelligence and machine learning in revolutionizing the manufacturing sector, making it more efficient and environmentally sustainable. He also emphasized the need for collaboration between academia and industry to drive technological advancements.
Welcoming the distinguished guests, Dr. Gurjeet Singh, Director Principal of the Engineering College, stressed that additive manufacturing and emerging materials are key drivers of the industrial revolution and sustainable development. He noted that the adoption of advanced technologies will enhance industrial production efficiency while reducing operational costs.
Dr. Chandra Mohan, Campus Director, underlined the importance of modern manufacturing techniques, urging industries to embrace innovation to improve productivity and quality.
The conference also saw participation from leading academicians and industry experts, including Dr. Vikas Chawla, Academic Dean of Punjab Technical University, Dr. Vijay Kumar Banga, Director of Quality Education at Rayat Bahra Group, and Ajay Sharma, Associate Vice President of Quantum Papers Limited, who shared their valuable insights.
