Hoshiarpur/May 21/Daljeet Ajnoha : MLA Bram Shankar Jimpa formally inaugurated work to install a new tubewell in Shri Guru Ravidas Nagar (Adamwal) on Thursday. Speaking on the occasion, he said the Punjab government under Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann is ensuring balanced development across all regions of the state, and projects are being carried out on a priority basis wherever basic amenities are needed.
Jimpa said villagers, led by Sarpanch Kulwinder Kaur, played a key role in providing land and other support for the tubewell, with contributors including Balkar Singh, Nirmala Devi, Amandeep Singh and Desraj. He said residents of the Adamwal area had been demanding safe drinking water for a long time and that the new tubewell will meet that need. The MLA added that the tubewell’s commissioning will provide significant relief to local residents and offer a lasting solution to water problems. He directed officials to ensure the work is completed within the stipulated timeframe and to high standards so people can benefit soon.
He also said the Punjab government is serious about resolving the village’s sewage drainage issues and will take necessary steps soon for a permanent solution. Jimpa reiterated that the government remains committed to the continuous development of towns and villages and addresses public grievances on a priority basis.
Sunil Kumar, Manish, Jeevan, committee member Raghuveer Kaur, Bakhtawar, Rajan and other dignitaries were also present on the occasion.
