The three-day annual religious Jod Mela at Gurudwara Langar Sahib Sant Baba Nidhan Singh Ji, Sri Hazur Sahib (Nander), dedicated to Sant Baba Narinder Singh Ji, Sant Baba Balwinder Singh Ji and other revered saints, concluded today with prayers for “the highest good” and a message of service and remembrance. The event was organized under the supervision of Sant Baba Nidhan Singh Ji and attended with deep faith and enthusiasm by devotees.
The closing ardas (prayer) was led by Sant Baba Narinder Singh and Sant Baba Balwinder Singh, along with Singh Sahib Baba Kulwant Singh, Jathedar of Takht Sachkhand Abchal Nagar Sri Hazur Sahib. Senior saints and leaders present included Baba Gurdev Singh (Shaheedi Bagh), Sant Baba Jagtar Singh (Mukhi Kar Seva Tarn Taran), Sant Baba Jeet Singh (Johlan), Sant Baba Balbir Singh (Mukhi, 96 Karodi Budda Dal), Sant Baba Hari Singh (Nankasar), Baba Buddha Singh (Nikke Ghumna), Sant Baba Seva Singh (Khadur Sahib), Bhai Sukhdev Singh (Sri Harmandir Sahib), Baba Manga Singh (Dharamkot), Baba Mohan Singh (UP), Jathedar Baba Jassa Singh, Jathedar Baba Jaswinder Singh Choudhary, Baba Gurdev Singh Banuud, Baba Karnail Singh (Moga), Baba Gurpinder Singh (Satlani Sahib), Baba Satnam Singh (Guru Ka Bagh), Baba Kashmir Singh (Dosanjh), Baba Harjinder Singh (Saprode), Baba Joginder Singh (Lopoke), Baba Jaspal Singh (Naiki Wale), Sant Baba Dilbag Singh (Mukhi Loh Langar Anandpur Sahib), Dr. Satnam Singh (Firozpur), Baba Hari Singh (Bhuri Wale), Baba Hira Singh (Jhulan Mahal), Baba Joga Singh (Karnal) and other eminent religious figures. Large numbers of devotees from across India and abroad attended the fair.
On the final day, after the conclusion of the Akhand Path, various groups led by Sant Baba Narinder Singh, Singh Sahib Baba Kulwant Singh (Jathedar, Takht Sachkhand Abochal Nagar Sri Hazur Sahib), Gyani Pinderpal Singh, Bhai Harinder Singh (Shri Nagar), Gyani Sukhdev Singh Dhalla, Bhai Ranjodh Singh (Nadalan), Bhai Paramjit Singh and Bhai Gurpreet Singh (Jwandi Taksal), Bhai Bir Jatinder Singh (Malkpur), Bhai Santokh Singh (Sirsa) and others enthralled the congregation with Gurbani-based katha, kirtan, dhadi vaar and spiritual discourses. The proceedings were ably conducted by Jathedar Baba Gurmeet Singh (Dachar-Nadalan) and Gyani Manjeet Singh.
In appreciation, Sant Baba Narinder Singh and Sant Baba Balwinder Singh presented siropas (honor robes) to visiting saints and chief guests, including Singh Sahib Gyani Kulwant Singh, Jathedar of Takht Sachkhand Abchal Nagar, who in turn honored Sant Baba Narinder Singh and Sant Baba Balwinder Singh.
Foundation stone laid for 2,500-room pilgrim residence
At the event, the foundation stone was laid for a new 2,500-room Guru Nanak Yatri Niwas named “Shubh Naam.” The joint groundbreaking was performed by Sant Baba Narinder Singh, Sant Baba Balwinder Singh, Jathedar Singh Sahib Sant Baba Kulwant Singh, Sant Baba Seva Singh (Khadur Sahib), Sant Baba Ajit Singh (Johlan), Jathedar Baba Balbir Singh (Mukhi, 96 Karodi Budda Dal), Sant Baba Jagtar Singh (Tarn Taran) and other principal devotees.
