Hoshiarpur Beat Mohali by Six

Hoshiarpur/July 27/Daljeet Ajnoha :   Hoshiarpur’s under-19 women’s cricket team defeated Mohali by six wickets to earn four points in the Punjab Cricket Association’s inter‑district tournament, HDC A secretary Dr. Raman Ghai said on Monday.
After winning the toss, Hoshiarpur asked Mohali to bat in the 50‑over fixture. Mohali were bundled out for 89 in 38.3 overs, thanks to a brilliant bowling effort by Hoshiarpur captain Surbhi and Urshi Thakur. Amayra Olakh top‑scored for Mohali with 25, Kashish made 24 and Ahnish Kaur contributed 18.
Surbhi finished with figures of 3 for 17, while Urshi claimed 3 for 12. Vanshika, Dhruvika Seth and Kashvi Rana took one wicket apiece for Hoshiarpur.
Chasing 90, Hoshiarpur reached the target in 41.2 overs for the loss of four wickets, winning by six wickets. Bhumikha Sharma led the chase with 31, while Vanshika remained unbeaten on 14 and Manpreet Singh not out on 13.
Congratulating the players, Dr. Ghai said he hoped the team would maintain its fine form. Hoshiarpur will next face Fatehgarh on July 29 at Hoshiarpur.
