Hoshiarpur / Daljeet Ajnoha/Feb.17 : Deputy Commissioner-cum-District Election Officer Komal Mittal said that the nomination center for Ward No. 1 to 13 of Municipal Council Talwara has been set up in PM Shri Government Senior Secondary Smart School, Sector-01, Ward No. 10, Talwara. Interested candidates can file their nomination papers here on the prescribed dates.
The District Election Officer said that on behalf of the Punjab State Election Commission, Tehsildar, Mukerian Manish Kumar has been appointed as Returning Officer and BDPO, Hajipur Vikram Singh as Assistant Returning Officer to ensure transparency and fairness of the elections.
District Election Officer Komal Mittal said that nomination has started from February 17. The time for filing nominations is from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm and the last date for filing nominations is 20 February 2025 till 3:00 pm. Scrutiny of nomination papers will be done on 21 February 2025. The last date for withdrawal of nominations is 22 February 2025 till 3:00 pm. Voting will be held on 2 March 2025 from 7:00 am to 4:00 pm. Counting will be done on the same day immediately after the end of voting on 2 March 2025. She informed that the Model Code of Conduct has come into effect in Talwara Municipal Council area, which will remain in force till the end of the voting process.
