Hoshiarpur/ Daljeet Ajnoha/July 9 : Two Booth Level Officers (BLOs) from the Garhshankar assembly segment have been commended by the Chief Electoral Officer, Punjab, for exemplary work carried out under the Election Commission of India’s Special Intensive Revision (S.I.R.)-2026 drive. Deputy Commissioner-cum-District Election Officer Ashika Jain presented the letters of appreciation to the two officers and lauded their efforts.
Ashika Jain said both BLOs successfully completed 100 percent digitization of the canvassing (counting) forms within the prescribed timeframe. In recognition of this notable achievement, the Chief Electoral Officer, Punjab issued formal letters of appreciation to them.
Congratulating the honoured officers Jagdish Kaur and Mukesh Kumar, she said BLOs play a vital role in the success of the electoral process. She added that both officials performed their duties with utmost sincerity, dedication and responsibility, ensuring the complete digitization of forms — an achievement that should serve as an inspiration to other officers and staff.
The Deputy Commissioner urged all election officials and BLOs across the district to implement the Election Commission of India’s directives with seriousness, transparency and punctuality, and to complete every task effectively so that the Special Intensive Revision of the electoral roll is carried out smoothly and transparently.
